Revelation Knowledge

Releasing the Life that is within us is not so much a product of what we do, but rather of what we 'know.'  There are two kinds of knowledge in the world: natural knowledge and spiritual knowledge.  Most of what we live by is natural in nature; even Bible knowledge can be accumulated with no real impact on our lives.

We know what we believe, but many times what we believe does not manifest the way we think that it should.

We believe that Paul touched upon this in his writings.  The key to victory with signs following can be summed up in the word 'revelation.'

There are different levels of understanding.  Paul mentions them in 1 Cor. 14:6.  He speaks of  1) doctrine (something that can be learned)  2)  Prophesy (something that can inspire/edify/exhort/comfort)  3) Knowledge (something we understand well enough to teach to others)  and 4) Revelation (that which transforms us).

Paul himself learned the gospel not from men but by revelation (Gal. 1:12).  He also prayed that we might receive a spirit of revelation:

Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:   18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,   19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Again we see Paul making a distinction between wisdom (knowledge in action) and revelation; and also between understanding (knowledge and wisdom) and 'enlightened' understanding (revelation).

This 'revelation' takes us into a different dimension of understanding His power toward us who believe!  That is the secret of power - revelation!  Many are baptized in the Spirit but still seem to lack power in their lives.  Why?  They haven't had a revelation of the truths that they comprehend mentally.  Truth is spiritual and must be understood by our reborn spirit.

Revelation knowledge is spiritual in nature and not easy to nail down.  You know it when you know it.  It goes beyond the intellect and the emotions into the realm of true faith.  The truths of God become more than knowledge and even more than understanding.  They are life.

How does revelation come?  Obviously it comes from God, but we don't think that it is something that God is withholding.  It would seem more like we are too distracted to seek it with our whole hearts.  Paul prayed for the Ephesians that God would give them a spirit of revelation.  We should pray that same way.

"Father, I thank you that it is your desire that I have a spirit of revelation into the things of the kingdom, and a true enlightened understanding of your power toward me.  Thank you for revealing these things to my spirit."  (Eph. 1:17-19)

As we create the right environment for revelation knowledge, by spending time in the Word, prayer, praise and meditation, revelation will come.  We will 'see' healing.  We will 'see' our authority.  That which was mental will become spiritual, and the victorious life will become a reality.

Revelation knowledge will prompt our faith to proclaim what we 'know' to be true.  When we speak to our bodies, it won't be a formula confession, but rather a powerful agreement with what we have received by revelation.  There is a difference between the doctrine of 'by His stripes I am healed,' and the revelation of that same truth.  One you can teach.  The other you release through faith filled words.

Releasing the reality of the reborn spirit into our lives is a product of truly 'knowing' by revelation what is in us through Jesus.  There is no way to teach 'revelation.'  But you will know it when it happens.  As you meditate and pray the scripture mentioned above, God will open things up to you.
